New Year Devotionals

It's a new year. God wants there to be a new you. It is within reach. It is His will and desire for you. Will you let go of the past? Will you get up from your fall? Will you go for the prize with all your heart?

When it’s all said and done, we have three things we can offer God—our treasure, our talent, and our time.

This year, as we exercise our faith and trust in Jesus our faith will grow stronger.

No wonder we have a hard time with New Year’s resolutions. We have so many people telling us what to do, we barely have time to think for ourselves… let alone think about what God thinks.

There lies before us the new year and we are going forth to possess it.

As you step into a new year, put your focus on one thing you want to do well in the coming year. Resolve to make a deep impact in one place.

You might be thinking of resolutions. But let me suggest that you start with your spiritual growth before turning to diets and exercise plans.

First, come before the throne of Almighty God with a repentant heart, praise, and thanksgiving. Then, ask Him for direction.

As we head into a new year, let’s start this one prepared, so when we face the trials of life we will stand.

For those who like change, "new" is mostly exciting. For those who don't, "new" is mostly stressful.

When we fall, God never says, "Give up." He says, "GET UP! RISE AGAIN!"

Let’s make responding in faith our focus for this New Year!

Although I’m not a fan of New Year’s resolutions, I’ve come to adore adopting a single word each year to guide me toward spiritual growth.

This coming New Year, we ask You to help direct our steps and lead us on the paths You have purposed and planned for us. Help us to look to You for guidance in the steps we take, trusting You with each one, even when they seem to lead us to unlikely and undesirable places.

It’s vital that we take time to both reflect on what God has done and allow him to prepare us for what’s to come.
